My dear friend Janet resides in a beautiful and remote part of the Dordogne, in southwest France. She and her husband live what can only be described as an idyllic life, their days filled with gardening, cooking and creative endeavors. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit several times. Janet recently began a video diary of the changing seasons in her little corner of paradise. Much to my delight, she is sharing them on YouTube. The videos are like a virtual trip to the French countryside. You can see them all here.
Inspired by one of Janet’s videos, I made this iPad sketch of a pink tamarisk tree in her yard.
