Archival Print Quality & Production
The prints in my shop are giclée prints, a high-resolution digital printing method using pigment-rich archival inks and acid-free materials. Each print is made-to-order & shipped directly to my customers by Fine Art America, a specialty art printer and custom framer with facilities in High Point, North Carolina and the United Kingdom. Fine Art America has been producing my prints since 2011. They also make the prints for Condé Nast’s online store (publisher of Vogue, The New Yorker and Vanity Fair).
Unframed Art Prints
Unframed art prints are available in a choice of 8 acid-free art papers. They are printed with a 1″ white border to allow for future matting and framing. Unframed prints are shipped in a sturdy 1/4″ cardboard tube, but may also be shipped in flat packaging upon request. To request flat packaging, please call Fine Art America customer service before placing your order – 877-807-5901.
Framed Art Prints
Framed art prints are available in a wide range of matting and framing options, comparable to what you would find at a custom frame shop. To protect the prints from damage during shipping, 1/8″ thick anti-glare acrylic is used instead of glass. All framed prints arrive “ready to hang” with attached picture wire, hooks and nails.
Stretched Canvas Prints
Stretched canvas prints can be hung with or without a frame . They are shipped “ready to hang” with hanging wire, mounting hooks and nails. They are available in a choice of glossy or matte surface canvas. Choose from two wrap styles: Gallery Wrap or Museum Wrap. Gallery Wrap canvas prints are 1.5″ deep and come with a choice of black, white or mirrored sides. An ideal choice you want to hang your canvas print directly to your wall unframed. Museum Wrap prints are 5/8″ deep and have white sides. They are recommended if you plan to frame your print – the thinner stretcher bars work with the widest selection of available frames. You can also order your canvas print un-stretched and rolled in a tube (this saves on shipping costs) – have your local frame shop stretch it for you.
Metal Prints
Metal prints are made by printing the image directly on a 1/16″ inch piece of aluminum. No paper is used – the ink is actually bonded to the metal, resulting in sharp vivid colors. Metal prints are extremely durable; lightweight; bend-proof; and water resistant (perfect to hang near a shower or bath). You can even hang these outdoors as long as they are not exposed to direct rain. Each metal print has a 3/4″ wooden frame mounted to the back of the print with hanging wire attached. All metal prints arrive “ready to hang” with mounting hooks and nails.
Acrylic Prints
Acrylic prints have a high-gloss finish, with the image printed directly onto the back of a 1/4″ sheet of clear acrylic. Like metal prints, they are water resistant and can be hung in humid environments like bathrooms. They can be hung outdoors as long as they are not exposed to direct rain. There are two mounting options: Aluminum Mounting Posts and Hanging Wire. With the Aluminum Mounting Posts option, your artwork is attached to the wall with four aluminum posts that screw into the wall. Your artwork is separated from the wall by 1″. With the Hanging Wire option, your acrylic print is attached to a 1/4″ thick black board with a wooden frame and hanging wire attached to the back. There are no metal mounting posts at the corners. Due to the thickness of the black board and mounting frame, your print is separated from the wall by 1.5″. All acrylic prints come “ready-to-hang” with mounting hardware.
