One of the things I enjoy about living in a big city is the access to life drawing opportunities. In NYC, life drawing sessions take place virtually every day, hosted by art schools or groups of artists, where you can just drop in and sketch. While drawing from photos is useful, there is nothing better (or more challenging) than drawing from life. It’s an essential part of my art practice. Here are a few quick model sketches I made the other day using PanPastels.
